Presenting Issue 2: Like Father, Like Son
A World at School supports a global network of 500 Global Youth Ambassadors who are committed education advocates and who support our campaigns to get every child into school and learning.
Our "Presenting" comic book-style series brings to life the stories of GYAs, highlighting how young people are leading change in education and their journey to becoming education advocates.
In this issue, we hear from Omang Agarwal from India, who reflects on the influence of his father as a role model and how he gained a passion for education from a young age.
Omang has been an extremely dedicated and effective GYA and made a huge impact on the #SafeSchools campaign. He collected more than 40,000 petition signatures and gathering drawings from schoolchildren about what a safe school was to them.
These went on to be handed in to international leaders at the World Humanitarian Summit in May.
The stories have been created with Theirworld by Studio APA, which worked with A World at School last year to make an animated film about the lives of three of our Global Youth Ambassadors (GYAs).
The studio's co-founder is director, writer and producer Steve Nguyen, who was inspired by the work he did last year with our GYAs.
